Every judgment here has a licence behind it
Reviewing is done by clinicians who are licensed and practising in the area they review. Membership is vetted and by invitation, and this is what that means in practice.
Who reviews here
Practising clinicians, invited to the work that fits them
Physicians and specialists who hold a current licence and still practise. Every pool is invite-only, and we invite a clinician to the pools that match the work they actually do, against the guidelines they already work to, not against a rubric invented for the task.
The specialties we need change as new work arrives. Rather than publish a list that would be out of date by the time you read it, we would rather you told us yours when you request access.
What we require
- A current clinical licence
- Active practice in a clinical specialty
- Comfort reading and assessing written cases
- A computer and a reliable internet connection
Vetting
How we vet
What happens before anyone sees a real case.
Request access
A clinician tells us their name, specialty and the country they practise in. Nothing is created at this point.
Review by our team
We read every request and look at the practice and specialty a clinician describes. Where we need more information about their qualifications, we ask for it before going further.
Invitation
Where there is work that fits their practice, an invitation is sent to one named address, good once. That invitation is what creates an account; nobody registers themselves. Not every request leads to one.
Quality
How quality holds up
Vetting decides who gets in. These decide what happens afterwards.
More than one clinician per case
Each item is read by more than one clinician, so a single reading never becomes the answer on its own.
Disagreements can go to a senior clinician
On projects that use adjudication, cases where reviewers differ go to a senior clinician rather than to a majority vote. A split between experienced clinicians is treated as information, not noise.
Nobody approves their own writing
For written work, one clinician writes and a different one approves, edits or sends it back. The platform will not offer a reviewer their own work.
An honest flag is wanted
A clinician who cannot judge a case flags it rather than guessing at it. We would rather have an honest flag than an answer a clinician is not sure of, and the flag is recorded as work rather than leaving no trace.
Review with clinicians who know the work
Membership is by invitation. Request access and our team will review it; we email you if we have work that fits your practice.
