About us
Someone has to decide what a correct answer looks like
Medical AI is measured against a reference standard. That standard is not discovered in the data. It is set by people who know the subject, and Senebiclabs is where licensed clinicians set it.
Our story
Why we built Senebiclabs
A model gives an answer to a clinical question. Whether that answer is good is not something the model can tell you, and it is not something a general reviewer can tell you either. It takes a clinician who works in that area and knows the guidelines the answer should follow.
We put those cases in front of clinicians who do. They confirm the answer, correct it, or flag what it missed. What comes out is the reference a medical AI system is tested and improved against, with a practising clinician behind every judgment in it.
We build the side of that which clinicians use: how work is served, how access is controlled, how disagreements are resolved, and how people are paid for the time they put in.
How we work
How we think about the work
Four decisions that shape everything else on the platform.
Clinicians, not annotators
Every review is done by someone licensed and practising in the area they are reviewing. There is no general pool of workers reading medical cases, because the judgment we need is the judgment a clinician has and a layperson does not.
Disagreement is signal
More than one clinician reads each case. On projects that use adjudication, cases where they disagree go to a senior clinician rather than being settled by whichever answer got more votes. A split between two experienced clinicians usually means the case is genuinely hard, and that is worth recording rather than averaging away.
Written work is reviewed, not merged
Where a clinician writes an answer rather than choosing one, a second clinician approves it, edits it, or sends it back. Two good answers to the same question are not votes to be blended.
Confidential by construction
Case material stays inside the platform. A clinician sees only the pools they have been given, access can be withdrawn, and there is nothing to download. The system enforces it rather than a policy asking for it.
Our promise
What we promise the clinicians who work here
No reward for guessing
You are recorded for the pass you make, not for the outcome you reach. Sending written work back to be rewritten counts exactly as approving it does. And if you cannot judge a case, flag it rather than guess: we would rather have an honest flag than an answer you are not sure of, and the flag is recorded as work.
Your time stays yours
No shifts, no minimum hours and no targets. Your place is saved between sessions, so you can stop mid-case and come back to it.
Asked because you are qualified
Membership is vetted. We would rather a smaller number of clinicians did this properly than a larger number did it quickly, and that is what keeps the work worth doing.
How to join
From request to your first case
Request access
Tell us your name, your specialty and the country you practise in. It takes a minute and does not create an account.
We review your request
Our team reads every request. Where there is work that fits your practice, we email you an invitation. Not every request leads to one.
Accept your invitation and the agreement
The invitation creates your account. You then read and accept the reviewer agreement, which sets out the work, confidentiality and how you are paid.
Work on the projects you are given
Open cases from your dashboard when work is available, with the project's rubric beside each one. Work at your own pace; your answers are saved as you go.
Your work is checked and recorded
Other clinicians read the same items, and written answers are reviewed by a colleague. Every pass you make appears on your work record and is paid on the terms agreed with you.
Questions
What clinicians ask
Who is eligible to apply?
Licensed clinicians who currently practise in a clinical specialty and are comfortable reading and assessing written cases. Request access with your name, specialty and the country you practise in. Every request is reviewed by our team, and an invitation is sent only where there is work that fits your practice, so requesting access does not guarantee an invitation.
What types of assignments are available?
Work comes in projects, and each project has one purpose: evaluating answers a medical AI system gave, labelling clinical data, or writing reference answers. Some written work also has a review stage, where a second clinician approves, edits or sends back a colleague's answer. Which of these you see depends on the projects you are given access to; not every clinician does every kind.
Does joining guarantee assignments?
No. Work depends on the projects we have running and on whether they match your specialty, so there may be periods with nothing available to you. Your dashboard shows what is open to you at any time.
How are submissions reviewed?
More than one clinician reads each item, and their readings are compared. On projects that use adjudication, items where clinicians disagree go to a senior clinician to resolve rather than being settled by majority. Written answers are read by a second clinician, who approves, edits or sends them back; nobody is ever given their own answer to review.
How is clinical information handled?
Case material is confidential and stays inside the platform. It may contain de-identified patient information, and you agree not to copy, retain, discuss or try to re-identify it. You see only the projects you have been given access to, and your identity is never disclosed to the organisations whose systems are being evaluated.
How is compensation determined?
Work is paid. Your rate and payment schedule are agreed with you in writing before you begin, and they are not published on the site or in the platform. Every pass you make is recorded, including cases you flag and written work you send back, and each is paid on the terms agreed with you.
Put your clinical expertise to work
Membership is by invitation. Request access and our team will review it; we email you if we have work that fits your practice.
